Cooper Books
A white-label AI bookkeeping platform for UK accounting firms — a Dext-class alternative that a firm rebrands as its own. We built the brand, the multi-tenant accountant portal, and the companion client app, all designed around one job: kill shoebox accounting.
Accounting firms were drowning in paper and re-keying.
Clients still mail in shoeboxes of receipts. Junior staff burn hours typing them into the ledger. The market leader (Dext) is powerful but expensive and unmistakably someone else's brand sitting inside the firm's workflow.
Cooper & Young wanted to offer their own clients a capture-to-books pipeline — under the firm's name, not a vendor's — without building a software company from scratch.
One platform. Every firm gets their own.
A multi-tenant architecture — Platform → Firm → Company → User, isolated by row-level security — so each firm runs a fully branded instance. AI does the heavy lifting; the accountant stays in control.
Firm-wide pulse
A live dashboard across every client company — receipts, review queue, missing docs, VAT reclaimable, auto-post rate.
Cooper AI extraction
Gemini reads each receipt and codes it in seconds; an approval queue keeps a human on the wheel.
Client mobile app
Snap a receipt, voice-enter, or flip to dark mode — a 10-second capture loop that even reluctant clients use.
White-label by design
Brand colour, logo and sub-domain per firm — the platform disappears behind the firm's identity.

Delivered as a 20-piece brand-and-product dossier plus a fully clickable prototype — portal and mobile app — ready to put in front of partners and investors.
